The winners of the Edgeworth Literary Society annual poetry and short story competition were presented with their prizes last night.
Ms Mary Rose Callon from Goatstown, Dublin, won the poetry prize worth £500 while Ms Nicola Jennings of Dundrum, Dublin, won the short story category. Both received £500.
Winners of categories for schoolchildren include Aoibhinn O'Sullivan from Claremorris, Co Mayo, Niamh Kenny from Balbriggan, Dublin, Louise Johnston from Longford town and Mary Monaghan from Mohill, Co Leitrim.
