Malaysian rescuers today found the body of British teenager Ellie James, who was missing for the past week on Mount Kinabalu.
The 17-year-old girl disappeared in the mist while descending from the 13,455-foot (4,101-metre) peak with her family and a 15-member climbing party last Thursday.
An army officer said a park ranger had found the body high on the mountain and had radioed back with the news.
Her family had kept vigil at the foot of Kinabalu, on the northern tip of Borneo, waiting for news, while searchers struggled, hampered by the worst weather on Southeast Asia's highest mountain in a decade.
