A 24-ear-old man has died following a road traffic collision at Ballygalda, Co Roscommon shortly after 6am this morning.
The man died when the car he was a passenger in which collided with a wall.
Three other male occupants of the car were removed to Roscommon County Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
A total of 109 people have been killed so far this year on Irish roads.
Earlier today a woman in her 20s was seriously injured following a road traffic collision in Co Tyrone this morning.
The crash happened when the car she was a passenger in was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
The woman suffered severe head injuries. Two other men, also in their 20s, who were in the car with her, and the driver of the other vehicle were also taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident took place shortly after 4.30 am on the Ballygawley Road outside Dungannon, County Tyrone.
