A 33-year-old man has been arrested after gardaí found heroin believed to be worth €200,000 in a house in Dublin.
Drugs paraphernalia as well as a handgun and ammunition were also found in the planned search of the house on Kilcronan Avenue, Colondalkin last night.
The man is being questioned in Ronanstown Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Meanwhile another 33-year-old man is due before a special sitting of Kells District Court today over the discovery of drugs in the town on Friday.
Gardaí found a cannabis growing facility in a shed yesterday near a house in Magdeline Court, Kells. The haul included 20 plants, lights and heaters.
In a follow-up search in another house in the town two bags of what is believed to be speed were found. These drugs are believed to be worth €30,000.
