A man is being questioned by gardaí in relation to a drugs seizure in Co Cavan on Friday.
The 37-year-old man, who is being held by gardaí in Drogheda, was arrested following a planned raid in the Kilnaleck area of Cavan, in which a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and some mixing agent was recovered.
The man can be held for up to seven days.
The seizure is estimated to be worth about €800,000. A firearm was also recovered in the raid.
The operation was carried out by the Drogheda Garda Drug Unit, assisted by gardaí from Cavan.
Meanwhile, three men arrested after around cannabis plants worth an estimated €200,000 were seized during a raid on the premises at Greenogue, Newcastle in Co Dublin yesterday have been released by gardai.
Further searches were carried out at locations in Navan, Clonee, Ballymun and Portarlington as part of the operation.
Forty plants were seized at the Navan site, along with various drugs paraphernalia bringing the total estimated value of seizures to approximately €250,000.
The men arrested were aged 24, 26 and 52, and are all Irish citizens.
A garda spokesman said a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
