Man arrested after Dublin city centre pub raid

One man was arrested after staff and customers were held at gunpoint in a raid on a Dublin city pub last night.

One man was arrested after staff and customers were held at gunpoint in a raid on a Dublin city pub last night.

Three men, at least one armed with a shotgun, entered the Strand House pub on the North Strand, and made off with a sum of cash, a Garda spokesman said.

Gardaí who were called, gave chase and apprehended one of the raiders at the Spencer Dock development. He was arrested and is being questioned at Store Street Garda Station.
