The PSNI have arrested a man in connection with an investigation into the murder of a pensioner five years ago.
The 57-year-old was arrested at his home in Coleraine on suspicion of withholding information about the killing of Mr Norman Moffatt, 73, who was stabbed in the town as he returned home from collecting his morning newspaper in January 2001.
Mr Moffatt died two months later. Police believe the pensioner was the victim of a mistaken identity, with the intended target a local paedophile. As the new arrest was made, the officer in charge of the investigation insisted police were doing everything possible to solve the case. Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Kyle said: "We are continuing to follow up all lines of inquiry generated by recent appeals."
