A man is being questioned today about the double murder of a couple set on fire at their home in Northern Ireland.

The suspect, aged 24, was detained in County Armagh where Thomas O'Hare, 33, and his 21-year old girlfriend Lisa McClatchey were beaten with hammers and doused in petrol by self-styled vigilantes.

Both victims died in hospital after fighting for their lives for days following the attack at Foley Road, Tassagh, on November 6.

Six masked intruders are believed to have broken into their home and beaten the pair before setting them alight.
