A 21-year old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Dublin last month.
Gardaí launched a murder inquiry after 20-year-old Mr Declan Gavin, of Mourne Road in Drimnagh, was fatally stabbed on Saturday, August 25th last.
Mr Gavin was standing at a bus-stop near Crimlin Shopping Centre at 3.30 a.m. when car pulled up. A passenger in the car stabbed the victim after a brief confrontation and the car then fled the scene. Mr Gavin was pronounced dead a few hours later.
A Garda spokesman told ireland.comthis evening a 21-year old man is being held in Sundrive Garda Station after he was arrested at 3.15 p.m. in connection to Mr Gavin's death.
