A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after an assault which followed yesterday’s Apprentice Boys' parade in Derry.
A PSNI spokesman said the assault happened when a bus carrying marchers was attacked by crowds throwing stones as it passed through the village of Killrae at around 7.30 p.m. last night.
A number of men alighted from the bus and the man was assaulted in a field off the Garvaghy Road.
A number of men are said to be help police with their inquiries.
