A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital last night after he was beaten up by a gang of men in south Belfast.
The man was attacked by four masked men at the house on Coolfin Street just before 11.30pm.
A PSNI spokeswoman said he received serious injuries to his head and body. Detectives in Musgrave Street station are investigating the assault and have appealed for witnesses.
On Friday night a man suffered serious head injuries after being assaulted in Belfast. The victim, aged in his early 40s, was attacked by a group of people close to the junction of Sussex Place and Hamilton Street in south Belfast.
He was taken to hospital and police are appealing for anybody with information to contact them. A male youth was later arrested.
