A man who saved a child from the jaws of a dog last year has been banned from driving for 10 years at Limerick District Court. Jonathan Curtin (21) pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.
Curtin also received a six-month jail sentence, which was suspended on his own bond of €500, provided he keep the peace and be of good behaviour for 18 months.
Curtin, Old Cork Road, Limerick, also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and to failing to produce a licence or insurance.
Last April Curtin pulled a two-year old boy from the jaws of a husky dog. Reece O’Leary was attacked in the back garden of his home.
