A 42-year-old man who has been charged with the attempted false imprisonment of a teenage girl at Moyclare, near Ferbane, Co Offaly, on the evening of July 19th last was remanded in custody in Dublin yesterday.
The charge arose from an incident in which a girl who was cycling on a quiet rural road reported being grabbed by a man who tried to force her into the back of a van.
He is due to appear at Cloverhill District Court on August 17th.
