The man charged with the murder of Offaly vet Catherine Gowing, has been remanded in custody until a case management hearing takes place in early January.
Clive Sharpe (46), from Bethesda, Gwynedd, appeared by video-link at Caernarfon Crown Court yesterday morning from a remand centre in Liverpool.
During the 10-minute hearing, Mr Sharpe, who wore a yellow and green prison uniform,
spoke only to confirm his name and to confirm that he had understood what had been said in court.
He was watched by Ms Gowing’s sister, Emma Maguire, who has said that she will remain in north Wales until her sister is found – though police reported that no progress had been made in ongoing searches yesterday.
The missing 37-year-old woman, who had worked in a veterinary practice in Mold for more than a year, was last
seen before 9pm of October 12th, when CCTV cameras recorded her leaving a supermarket in Queensferry.
