A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Harold's Cross, Dublin, last weekend.

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Harold's Cross, Dublin, last weekend.

Michael Hughes (30) from Banagher, Co Offaly, was found dead on Saturday at Manor Villas apartment complex.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem revealed he had died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

A Garda statement said today that a man previously detained in the inquiry has now been released from medical care and is now in custody at Terenure Garda station. He is being detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
