Man dies after fall from crane

A 31 year old Galway man fell to his death from a 150 foot crane at a building site in the Galway docks area last night

A 31 year old Galway man fell to his death from a 150 foot crane at a building site in the Galway docks area last night. Gardai and members of the Fire Brigade had made several attempts to persuade the man to come down after he had climbed the crane four hours earlier.

The man was named locally as Mr Francis Miller, of St James's Crescent, Mervue.
