An elderly man was killed in a house fire in Co Donegal last night.
The fire happened in a property on Main Street in Downings after midnight. Gardaí were alerted to the blaze at about 1.15am.
The victim, who was in his 90s, lived alone in the property.
The scene of the fire has been sealed off pending an investigation. A Garda spokesman said the incident did not appear to be suspicious.
