A man was killed in a house fire in Co Tipperary early this morning.
The fire broke out in the house in Grange Road, Ballina at about 2.20am.
There were three people in the house at the time. Two women escaped uninjured but a 53-year-old man was trapped.
His body was later recovered by firefighters and taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.

The scene has been preserved and a technical examination will take place later today. The office of the State Pathologist has also been notified.
Gardaí in Killaloe are investigating the circumstances
