A man is expected to appear before Headford District Court, Co Galway, today in connection with the murder of a woman near Galway city on Monday.
Mrs Margaret Fahy (78), from Ballindooley, on the outskirts of Galway city, was found at 11 a.m. on Monday in the living room of her bungalow.
She had suffered a number of body injuries.
