A man is to appear in court tomorrow charged in connection with the death of convicted criminal John Wilson in Dublin last week.
Wilson (35), a drug dealer with a firearms conviction, was shot a number of times at a house on Cloverhill Road, Ballyfermot last Friday afternoon.
Gardaí believe he was killed over a localised drugs dispute and not because he was part of a faction feuding with the so-called Real IRA.
It is understood the killer tailed him from the Ballyfermot school where he had earlier picked up his children.
A man in his 30s, arrested last Friday, is to appear before Dublin District Court charged in connection with his death tomorrow morning. He was detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
Four other men were arrested and a car impounded on Wednesday by gardaí investigating the murder.
