Gardaí investigating the death of a man in Carlingford at the weekend have release without charge a man they were questioning.
The man was in in custody in relation to the investigation into the death of Joseph Hosford (44) at Mountain Park, Carlingford on Sunday.
"A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and investigations are ongoing in the matter," a Garda statement said.
Two brothers appeared in court on Monday charged in connection with the incident. The charges dealt with at Drogheda District Court arose from an alleged assault on another man.
Brothers Martin McMasters (29) and Gareth McMasters (28), St Oliver's Park, Carlingford, were each charged with assault causing harm to Michael Hosford at Mountain Park on Sunday, June 24th, 2007.
Judge Flann Brennan was told that neither man made any reply when the charge was put to them.
Mr Joseph Hosford's body was found at a caravan beside a partially-built house at Mountain Park. A postmortem confirmed that he died from a single stab wound.
