A Tallaght man has been found not guilty by a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of having £50,000 of heroin for supply at his brother's flat last year.

Bernard Nugent (36) was found guilty of unlawful possession of a small quantity of heroin for his own use on the same occasion. He had denied any connection with the 143 grammes of heroin found by gardai in the residence of Mr Ian Nugent on January 13th, 2000, at Moynihan Court, Tallaght. Judge Patrick McCartan remanded him on continuing bail for sentence on March 7th.
