Gardai in Dublin yesterday arrested a man in his 20s who is believed to be part of a gang supplying ecstasy, heroin and cocaine to the city's club scene, writes Jim Cusack, Security Correspondent.
Some 20,000 ecstasy tablets and a quantity of heroin and cocaine were found hidden in vacant land at Scribblestown, on the western outskirts of the city following an operation led by local drugs unit officers from Pearse Street Station in the city centre.
The District Drugs Unit (DDU) in Pearse Street had been monitoring the activities of a gang, led by three members of a west Dublin criminal family, which has been supplying drugs to a number of clubs in the city centre.
