London - A pilot, Peter Dimond, arrested by police investigating the escape from Britain of Asil Nadir, was charged yesterday with perverting the course of justice. Mr Dimond (56), a selfemployed businessman, formerly from Petersfield, Hampshire, will appear before Bow Street magistrates in London today.
The former Polly Peck chairman fled to Northern Cyprus in 1993. He was facing £30 million theft and false accounting charges and was on £2 million bail at the time.
