A man was charged with having 1kg of cocaine with a street value of €70,000 in Killarney District Court on Saturday. He was also charged with having drugs with intent to sell or supply.
Robert Morley (28), of Bruach na hAbhann, Tralee Road, Killarney, was arrested on Friday morning in the Kerry town. The drugs were discovered by gardaí in a tree trunk in a ditch at Bohereen Na Marbh, Gortroe, Killarney, on March 24th-25th last.
Det Garda James Murphy said Mr Morley had replied "no" to both charges.
Insp Barry O'Rourke said the State opposed bail.
