A 23 year-old man from Co Limerick has been charged with dangerous driving causing the death of two Polish motorcyclists in Co Kerry last year.
Thomas O'Regan from Garryduff, Newcastlewest, Co Limerick was also charged at the district court at Castleisland, Co Kerry, with a number of offences including drink driving and driving without insurance.
Mr Marek Olszowka (32), from Moccas, Hertfordshire, England, and Mr Kazimierz Kawa (31), from Bromyard, Hertfordshire, England, both of whom were originally from Poland, were returning from an international Harley-Davidson rally in Killarney when the collision happened.
The collision happened at Knocknagoshel, Co Kerry, on June 29th, 2006, when their bikes collided with a BMW car on the N21 at about 6am.
Mr O'Regan was bailed while a book of evidence is prepared.
