A man remains in critical condition in a Dublin hospital after what appears to have been a gangland shooting in the city last night.
The man was shot in the New Cabra Road area at around 10.20 last night and his condition has been described as critical by hospital officials.
At least two masked men entered the man's house and shot him a number of times. Neighbours called gardaí after hearing the shots.
The 33-year-old victim was brought to the Mater Hospital with serious head and chest injuries.

A Garda forensic team has examined the scene. As yet, gardaí are not aware of any motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
