Gardaí in Limerick are investigating a shooting incident in the Roxboro Road area of the city early this morning.
A 24 year old man was shot in the neck and leg as he alighted from a car outside a house in O'Malley Park, in the Southill area of Limerick. It is believed a handgun may have been used in the attack.
The man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where his injuries are not believed to life threatening.
Gardaí believe two men were involved in the shooting which happened shortly before 1am this morning.
