A 30-year-old man held in connection with the murder of Bobby Moffett on the Shankill Road last Friday week has been released without charge.

The man was released late last night.

Bobby Moffett (43) was shot several times in the head just before lunchtime on Friday May 28th. Two men wearing high visibility jackets were seen to carry out the attack by dozens of witnesses thronging the busy shopping area.

The PSNI believes that UVF members on the Shankill killed Mr Moffett over a personal dispute.

More than 2,000 people turned out on the Shankill on Friday for his funeral despite warnings by some UVF members for people to stay away.

Four other people arrested in connection with the killing have also been released.
