A 38-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murders of four members of the same family.

A 38-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murders of four members of the same family.

David George Morris appeared at Swansea Magistrates Court. He is charged with the murders of 80-year-old Dorris Dawson, her daughter 34-year-old Mandy Power and her two granddaughters Katie, 10, and Emily, 8 at their home in Clydach in 1999.

Morris of Rhyddwen Road, Craigcefnparc, Swansea, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Chairman of the Magistrates Howard Morgan ordered Morris be remanded in custody until he appears at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday April 3rd. Legal aid was granted and reporting restrictions were not lifted. PA
