An man has been rescued from the mountains of Mourne after he was injured in a fall on the mountain side.
The man was out walking alone when he fell. He was found by a doctor and a friend who were
also out walking in the area.
The men raised the alarm and the rescue helicopter was scrambled from Dublin but was forced to turn back by poor weather.
It took four hours for members of the Mourne mountain rescue team to carry the injured man down the side of the mountain on a stretcher.
