A 25-year-old man died after a stabbing in a house in the Finglas area of Dublin this morning.
A 30-year old man was arrested in connection with the incident at Cappagh Avenue.
Detectives at Finglas Station were questioning him under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. He was earlier treated in hospital for injuries received during the incident.
Garda technical experts have conducted a forensic examination, and a spokesman said the investigation was ongoing.
