A man who tried to sell a heroin substitute to a plainclothes garda appeared in court yesterday. John Walsh (36), of Dorset Street, Dublin, pleaded guilty at the District Court to having physeptone for supply at Binn's Bridge, Phibsboro, on January 9th.
Garda Declan Birchall said Walsh approached him, offered 100ml for £10 and when searched was found to have a 1,000ml bottle of physeptone which was prescribed as part of treatment for drug abuse.
Judge Miriam Malone remanded the defendant on continuing bail to July 28th for a community service report.
