A bench warrant was issued at Cookstown Magistrates Court yesterday for the arrest of one of the four Dungannon men who left Northern Ireland at the weekend following an IRA death threat. Mr Paul McDonald (22), of Woodbourne Crescent, had been summoned to appear at the court on a charge of obstructing the police in Dungannon.
When Mr McDonald's name was called at yesterday's court and there was no response, the police applied successfully for a bench warrant. A defence lawyer had earlier suggested an adjournment of the case "to see how the situation resolved itself".
