CITYWEST HOTEL directors Jim Mansfield and his sons, Anthony and Patrick, are to face cross-examination in the High Court as to assets they own.
High Court orders were granted yesterday requiring the business trio to attend for oral examination as to what debts may be owing to them or their company, HSS, trading as Citywest Hotel, and what other property they or their company may own.
Barrister Robert Beatty, for former Citywest Hotel general manager John Glynn, said his client had obtained an interlocutory injunction directing the defendants to reinstate his salary.
Mr Glynn’s case had been settled with an outstanding legal costs bill of €166,000 which had not been paid, he said.
Mr Beatty said an order for execution of the debt had been lodged with the County Sheriff but had been returned endorsed “nulla bona” on the basis that Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Ltd already had a receiver in place against the goods of the defendants.
Fergus Gallagher, solicitor for Mr Glynn, told the court in an affidavit the defendants operated a very extensive hotel and conference business at Citywest Hotel, Saggart, Co Dublin, and a number of large golf courses which they appeared not to own.
The only way of possibly executing a judgment against the defendants James Mansfield snr of Tassaggart House, Saggart; Anthony Mansfield, Coldwater Lakes, Saggart, and Patrick Mansfield Coldwater Lakes, Saggart, all Co Dublin, was to bring them before the court for cross-examination on what assets they may own.
