Two men were badly beaten in Co Down last night after an attack by a masked gang carrying baseball bats and iron bars.
At around midnight three men broke their way into a house on Colmcille Road, Downpatrick. The house was occupied by three men.
One of the men in the house escaped, but two others aged 34 and 18 were attacked by the gang and beaten.
One received a head injury and bruising while the other received fractures to his right arm and ankle as well as puncture wounds and bruising.
