London - The former Beatle, Paul McCartney, returned to his rock'n'roll roots yesterday for the release of his first pop album since the death of his wife, Linda, last year.
McCartney, still grieving for his wife who died of breast cancer, said the album Run Devil Run was an exercise in pure nostalgia with tracks ranging from Chuck Berry to Elvis Presley classics. McCartney, whose last album Flamingo Pie was a critically acclaimed international hit, teamed up with Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour for the new record.
