Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren is to rejoin the England national coaching staff on a part-time basis, the FA said today.
McClaren was a member of the England coaching set-up between October 2000 and March of this year, when he was still assistant manager at Manchester United. The English champions refused to allow him to continue working under England manager Sven Goran Eriksson after March.
But McClaren was unveiled as Middlesbrough manager on Tuesday, and his new club said they would allow him to renew his England duties.
