South African duo Darren Fichardt and James Kingston are locked in a tense battle for the Qatar Masters title after finishing their third rounds level on 10 under par today.

Fichardt took full advantage of perfect golfing conditions to reel off a brilliant 66, to collar compatriot Kingston, who started the third round three shots in the clear.

Fichardt could have gone two shots better, but for bogeys on two par fours.

Kingston, who was on nine under par after the second round, had a modest third round by his standards but still shot a 71 - three bogeys ruining what could have been a brilliant effort.
