McInerney Holdings has reported pre-tax profits of €11.210 million for the six months ending 30th June 2006, a slight improvement compared to €11.012m for the corresponding six month period in 2005.
The Homebuilder group reported profits after tax of €9.347m for the same period this year compared to €9.173m last year.
Group turnover was €228.8m compared to €171.2m. Basic earnings per share were 28.07 cent compared to 27.68 cent for the same period in 2005.
As in 2005, the group says profit performance and earnings growth will be weighted towards the second half of 2006.
McInerney stepped up its expansion into Britain this summer with the acquisition of a home builder the north east of England for €34 million in August.
Bowey Homes Holdings operates in the Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Consett and Northumberland areas and specialises in developing a mix of brownfield and greenfield sites.
The group is focusing on achieving further expansion in the UK and beliees both its Irish and UK housing businesses are on course for strong sales completions in the second half and is confident of another favourable outcome this year.
An interim dividend of 10 cent gross will be paid on October 27th to shareholders registered on October 6th. This compares to an interim dividend of 9 cent gross for the first half of 2005.
