A man accused of having 400 security forces' montages of IRA suspects found in an Orange Hall last October was alleged in court yesterday to be a member of the outlawed Orange Volunteer Force.

A Crown lawyer told the High Court in Belfast the OVF was made up of people claiming to be Orangemen who had set up the group to take on the likes of the "Real IRA".

He was opposing a bail application by Mr Paul Arthur Armstrong (21), a science student from Islandreagh Road, Antrim, who is charged with having documents likely to be useful to terrorists and also having a loaded assault rifle and ammunition.

The Crown lawyer said Mr Armstrong's fingerprints were on the montages found at Stoneyford Orange Hall in Co Antrim. Bail was refused.
