There will be a special memorial Mass for the late Mr Martin Coughlan, a victim of the recent New York terrorist attack, in St Joseph's Church, Galway, at noon on Saturday.
A native of Cappawhite Co Tipperary, Mr Coughlan had lived in Galway with his wife Catherine and their four daughters at Newcastle Road in the city from the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s before emigrating to New York in 1986.
Mr Coughlan was working in the Twin Towers on the day the disaster struck. His body was recovered from the ruins some days later. He is survived by his wife, and daughters Orla, Ailish, SinΘad and Denise.
