Men charged in North with plot to abduct child

Two men arrested near a Co Antrim playground were charged today with planning to abduct a child.

Lee Joseph Wright (24) and Henri Termonica (58) are accused of conspiring to steal and carry away a child against his or her will.

The defendants deny the charges but were remanded in custody. They were arrested in Portstewart on Tuesday, July 11th.

The pair will appear in court in Coleraine via video link on August 7th.
