Three west Cork men were yesterday remanded on continuing bail on charges of buying and placing a BSE-infected animal in a herd in an unlawful attempt to obtain herd depopulation compensation of £75,000.
Mr James Sutton, Kilgarriffe House, Clonakilty, faces 60 charges; Mr Bryan Wilson from Coolfadda, Dunmanway Road, Bandon, and his son An drew, from Kilpatrick, Bandon, each faces 44 charges. Judge Brendan Wallace remanded them to appear at Clonakilty District Court on June 16th.
