A man was remanded on bail at a special sitting of Cork District Court last night after he was charged in connection with a €750,000 drugs seizure in the city yesterday.
The 38-year-old Cork man was charged with three counts relating to a 100 kilo cannabis seizure following a search of a van at around 10.30am at Tower near Blarney.
Judge Uinsinn Mac Gruairc remanded Martin Whelehan on bail to appear again at Cork District Court tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile in Dublin a man in his 20's is being held at Kevin Street Garda Station in relation to a €400,000 heroin seizure in the city.

He is due before Kilmainham District Court tomorrow morning charged with the seizure of the drugs.
