The two men killed in road traffic accidents on Sunday have been named as Mr Michael Boyce (57) of Newbrook, Broadford, Co Limerick, and Mr Paul Cutterell (20) of Woodview, Bailieboro, Co Cavan. Mr Boyce was a local vet and father with six children. He was killed when the car in which he was a passenger went out of control and hit a ditch at Broadford at 8.10 p.m. on Sunday.
Mr Cutterell was killed when the car he was driving, in very icy conditions, hit a wall at 5.20 p.m. on Sunday.
