Three men arrested in connection with the Garda investigation into the so-called gangland killings of two men in Dublin last November have been released without charge.

The men were arrested yesterday and were held at Rathfarnham and Tallaght Garda stations in Dublin under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The three, aged 28, 35 and 38, were questioned in connection with the murders of Darren Geoghegan and Gavin Byrne, who were shot dead at Firhouse in south Dublin on November 13th 2005.

A Garda statement said a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
