Cairo - Egypt's forensic experts have concluded that one of the six Islamic militants who carried out last month's Luxor massacre shot dead four of his comrades before he was killed by police, security sources said yesterday.
The militants shot or knifed to death 58 foreign tourists and four Egyptians at Hatshepsut temple in the southern resort of Luxor on November 17th before they were killed. Officials and witnesses say one attacker, wounded by police, was shot dead by his companions as they fled towards a cave in a cliff above the temple. The report concluded the militants had been shot at close range, but had not committed suicide.
