Sarajevo - NATO said yesterday that President Slobodan Milosevic of Yugoslavia is planning a visit this week to Bosnian Serb territory where a power struggle is raging among rival leaders. The NATO-led peace force said it received a request for landing approval for an aircraft to take Mr Milosevic to the Serb part of Bosnia.
Western officials confirmed there were preparations under way for Mr Milosevic to pay an extraordinary visit to the north-western town of Banja Luka, seat of power for the Bosnian Serb President, Ms Biljana Plavsic. She is locked in a power struggle with hardliners loyal to her predecessor, the indicted war criminal, Dr Radovan Karadzic.
