Celtic defender Johan Mjallby has been sidelined for six weeks with a knee injury.
The defender experienced discomfort in the knee that kept him out for three months last season during the league opener against Dunfermline and was forced to pull out of the Champions League qualifier against MTK Hungaria.
The Swede underwent a scan on the knee over the weekend and was told that, had he continued playing, it would have led to a stress fracture.
